Do only lasers work for hair regrowth? I heard LEDs aren’t effective. Do the lasers stay on during treatment?
It’s a misconception that LEDs don’t work. In fact, it’s been clinically shown that the combination of lasers and LEDs are effective for treating hair loss. LEDs and Lasers will blink on an off during treatment. This is normal.
Why might longer treatment times (25 minutes “iRestore”) be more effective than shorter ones (6 minutes, other brands)?
Our engineers believe longer treatment times are more beneficial because more time allows more light energy to be absorbed by your follicles to stimulate hair growth. We don’t recommend other devices that advertise shorter treatment times.
How long until I start to see visible results? Should I feel anything when using the device?
You can expect to see visible results within 3 to 6 months of continued use — 25-minute sessions every other day. Results may vary from individual to individual. Please note that you may or may not feel any sensation such as heat when in use
Can you combine iRestore with other treatments?

High quality and excellent value!
Very high quality, and super easy to use! I use it every morning with my coffee! I just started using it it a few weeks ago, so I’ll be giving updates as I progress! Definitely glad I bought the kit with the battery, because it’s easy to move around. Also, I purchased the zippered case, which protects it, and has compartments for the battery, and charger/power cord!

Professional Red Light Therapy Helmet
This red light therapy professional helmet is made well. Easy to use with the simple buttons on remote to operate. I’m happy to say it’s soft and comfortable while using. I’ve used it every other day as recommended. It’s only been a total of 4x using, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far. I’ve had a lot of hair fall out prior to using this device which was already scary for me. I was a little concerned as the company says possible hair shedding as the weak hair comes out and stronger hair will grow. It made sense to me. Today I’ve noticed a significant improvement of hair shedding than prior to using this device and fuller hair at the crown. I was super happy not to see so much hair coming out from my head. I will continue to use and I’m sure I will be back to update on my hair experience at month six. Maybe 5 stars?!?! TBD. Also I know it a pricey device, however the company offers a money back guarantee if you don’t see or have improvements with your journey. A win win imo.

Great Customer Service!
We received the iRestore Cap three weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised at how well constructed it is; very professional with sturdy construction. Looks exactly as depicted online. We have been using it following the instructions. It fits my husband’s head perfectly, but is large on my head. I was a bit miffed at the fact that there were no extra pads included with the cap for a better fit for smaller heads. When I contacted their customer service I was received well by Madelaine who sent me the nicest email I have ever received from a customer service representative. She gracefully said she would send additional foam pads and included precise instructions for their use. My husband and I subsequently decided to also purchase the face mask and have started using it. It is too soon to comment on results from the hair growth cap as it is a test of patience, however, we have seen some positive results with the face mask. My rosacea has improved somewhat which gives hope that it will continue to improve. Also, my husband had a small skin bump on his forehead which has completely disappeared. I will add additional comments as time goes on. Really hoping for good results with both especially the hair growth cap. Fingers crossed.

At this point I am sorry that I ever started treatment with this helmet! I’ve been using it as directed for the past seven weeks. Before purchasing, I researched light therapy helmets and nowhere did I see the warning to expect significant loss of hair in the first three months. Turns out, that’s what happens. I am distressed beyond words. I have lost so much hair. I no longer have bangs; they’re gone. I am now just praying to get back to where I started. I am going to have to buy a wig to get through the next months until my hair (hopefully) grows back. I’m going to have to stick it out since I’ve gone this far but had I known what was going to happen, I NEVER would have started. I would have stuck with serums and supplements. Honestly, I am in such distress over how much hair I have lost and how horrible it looks. If my hair grows back and looks fantastic ten months from now, I still would say it’s not worth the first six months of horrific hair loss. It’s not even about how expensive the helmet is. I have only used this product for a couple of weeks so far but find it comfortable and convenient to use. I set a repeat alarm on my iPhone to remind me to use it every other evening. I did not purchase the battery as I have an outlet by my chair and since I use it in the evening while watching tv I find this convenient enough. It fit well right out of the box so I did not have to use different foam pads to change the fit. It will take a few months to see how effective it will be for me but so far I am happy with my purchase.

I gave the IRestore an honest try, using it as described. While it did not work for me, the company reached out after 9 months and offered a full refund which I accepted and they honoured. I am so pleased to find a company, in this age of uncertainty, with integrity. Very much appreciated. I would say do not hesitate to give this product a try as it may work for you.It is working for me although very slow results are worth it. I have reached out to the company several times requesting larger pads for the inside so it stops sliding around as too loose. The company has not responded at all…also regarding the warranty. It is only good if you purchase from their website. If purchased on Amazon there is no iRESTORE warranty.8th MONTH UPDATEin the beginning I had previously been using a device called Hairmax and had 1/2″ visible growth. I thought that a hair cap (iRestore) would be more convenient than the hand-held device. After what I thought was a good start with device (only because I had previous good results with another device) there have been NO VISIBLE RESULTS using this device consistently as suggested. I had MAJOR HAIR FALL constantly, (as well as my new hair growth from other device disappeared). My hair now is thinner than before I started with this device. I purchased the iRestore Professional helmet almost 2 years ago. I have female pattern hairloss (FPHL) and thinning hair that has increased since menopause. I did a great deal of research before deciding to spend this amount of money on a device that made claims to help with hair loss. For me, there was adequate research showing that red light therapy can help with thinning hair and I was specifically looking for a device with a wavelength of 650 nm — the iRestore Professional has 655 nm. Also, I contacted the iRestore company to ensure that I could get the company’s 12 month money back guarantee (not just the Amazon’s return policy) before purchasing, in the event I didn’t like the device or didn’t see results, which the company agreed to.So after 2 years what are my thoughts? The device has worked as it should since day 1, with zero issues. The comfort of the helmet is quite good, but I sometimes need to readjust it when I first put it on. Having said that, sometimes I forget to take it off, so that speaks to its level of comfort. You do have to sit with a blinking helmet on your head, which looks a bit ridiculous, so this is something to consider. I use my iRestore helmet consistently, every second day, as recommended, so you should take into account whether or not you are someone who follows routines. Previous to the helmet I used a laser comb, and the helmet is by far much easier to use.The results? I have experienced, and continue to experience, new hair growth along my temples, but little to none down the center of my scalp. I also started taking saw palmetto around the same time as I began using the iRestore helmet, so it is difficult to say if the hair growth along my temples is solely due to the helmet, the saw palmeto or both. Although some may see results with just the iRestore helmet or just saw palmetto, after years of attempting to solve my hair loss issues, it is my belief that multiple interventions are the best approach to slowing down my hair loss. I will continue to use my iRestore helmet and would recommend the helmet if you are a person who follows routines consistently. But it is important to be realistic in your expectations of what red light therapy can do for your hair loss.
