Good size, width, length and thickness. I can use on hard floor and feel firm enough for balance but soft enough to support joints. I'm older and my knees, wrists and ankles need a soft landing place. Rolls up easily and flattens pretty quickly. So far no cracks or splits.

This mat is really comfortable. If you're prissy about appearance, you might want to know that mine arrived permanently cosmetically damaged by the elastic strap, but that doesn't affect the function. It's a little awkward to reroll for storage and the ends curl under from being stored rolled up — but it would be unreasonable to expect either of those things to be different on a mat of this thickness. It's extremely comfortable to lie on and large enough to accommodate movement that doesn't involve rolling. It's also the perfect texture for a large Norwegian Forest cat to scratch on which is relevant only to say he will undoubtedly destroy it,and I will most likely replace it with the same brand.

I was looking for a thicker mat because my knees were hurting with my thin yoga mat. This mat is good and thick plus it's longer which is great for my particular exercise classes. The only negative comment I might find to make is the sling carrier isn't very good for toting it back and forth from car to class, etc., but it is what it is. I like the mat very much.

I love how soft this 1" mat is. I'm a senior citizen and I can do my exercises with no back pain. It's perfect for my needs. Size is great. Some reviews of other mats, not this one, complain of them smelling. This mat does not smell at all. Seems to be well constructed. Hard to roll because it's so thick, but not a problem for me.
